A dialogue between places
My work is born from the meeting of Havana and Bergen, of memory and the present, of what is visible and what endures.
Born in Havana in 1971, trained at San Alejandro and based in Bergen since 2009, Ramón Eduardo Haití Filiu builds his paintings from paint, printed fabric, jute and corrugated cardboard: figures in wide-brimmed hats, fish, masks, the sea.
